Crime Reporting Center / Independent Record
Make the pattern visible. Preserve the record.
For engineers, designers, founders, firms, and colleagues documenting suspected misuse of suspicion to disrupt work, autonomy, reputation, relationships, or continuity.
You can report a concern even when you fear retaliation. A name and contact address are optional. A unique incident number is issued when a report is actually saved.

Design Against Crime
A place to begin the record.
Use this center to document reported retaliation, suspected framing, exclusion from engineering or design work, interruption of business operations, records or authorship disputes, displacement, hospitalization or other serious disruptions. Explain what happened and what supports your account. A reported motive remains separate from observed events.
Why this record matters: In a 2023 UK Survation study of 280 software engineers, 75% of the 116 respondents who had reported workplace wrongdoing said they faced retaliation the last time they spoke up. This is a finding about surveyed UK software engineers, not a claim about all engineers. Read the study summary.
Email alternative: designagainstcrime@misplacedsuspicion.com routes incoming mail into the private archive. The email channel does not yet send an automatic incident-number receipt. Use the form below for an immediate numbered confirmation.
Independent reporting, not an emergency or police filing. This center keeps a private intake record; it does not itself file a report with a government agency, determine guilt, or establish a police incident number. If you need urgent help, contact local emergency services. Agency referral or record sharing is not automatic.
